Patrick Peters has been in public practice in Steinbach since 1976, achieving his original Registered Industrial Accountant designation in 1984 and beginning his own accounting firm in 1986. Since he began public practice, his accounting designation has changed from Registered Industrial Accountant to Certified Management Accountant to Certified Professional Accountant, but his focus on providing his clients with personal attention has not changed. During his more than 40 years in public practice, he has been involved in the areas of financial statement preparation and business consultation with an emphasis on both corporate and personal income tax planning. A particular area of interest is in assisting estate executors and administrators resolve and negotiate the many complicated and so often frustrating factors of estate income tax resolution and estate settlement, an area that can be extremely demanding and confusing for the first time inexperienced executor.
In 2017, Pat, together with Arden Koop, CGA, decided to combine their interests, knowledge, and experience in accounting and taxation by forming the partnership of Peters Koop CPA.
Pat is married to a wonderful woman and together have three amazing children. While Pat has had the opportunity to serve his community in several different areas, he is most appreciative of been able to serve as member of the Steinbach Fire Department for almost 30 years. In addition to the demands of the fire service, Pat enjoys riding his Harley, and on occasion attempts the game of golf, but his primary desire is to serve his Lord, who makes all things possible.
